Volunteering
Thank you for signing up to make a
difference in the fight against children's bone cancer.
For our past, current and future
endeavors, the JORI ZEMEL CHILDREN'S BONE CANCER FOUNDATION owes infinite
and indescribable thanks to the volunteer who have dedicated their time and
effort to ending children's bone cancer. The success of our foundation
would not be be possible without people like you.
We only have one requirement for volunteering; that you want to make a
difference in the lives of the children and families affected by children's bone
cancer.
You can make a difference by committing to any of the following:
*Event Volunteer - volunteers are needed for all JZCBCF
fundraising events. Volunteering for events can include pre-event planning
or day of assignments. Pre-event duties range from auction/ in-kind
donation solicitation to flyer and sign distribution.
*Volunteer Coordinator - coordinate volunteers for event-specific
assignments; this includes assigning and training.
*Party Planner - coordinate semi-annual parties under the direction of
the staff at MDACC for the children and families undergoing treatment at the
Children's Cancer Hospital at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
*Administrative Duties - help with mail-outs, phone calls and other
various administrative functions.
*Fundraising - grassroots fundraising is our claim to fame. You can
choose to help an established committee with their grassroots effort or create
your very own.
*PR/ Marketing - we can always use help distributing flyers all around
town for events as well as follow up phone calls to various media outlets.
*Spread the Word - for this, you needn't sign up. Simply click on "Spread
the Word". We have provided pre-written emails for you to forward
to all of your friends, family and acquaintances. You can elect to send
your own personal email. You can even create your very own
JZ Webpage through our website. This is one
of the easiest ways to raise funds and promote awareness for children's bone
cancer. Or...do you belong to a civic of professional group wanting
to make a difference? We welcome the opportunity to present a motivating program
to your group. Give us 10 minutes or give us an hour - whatever fits your
schedule. We will inspire.
*Help Us Grow - since we will forever be a "work-in-progress", new
volunteering opportunities present themselves throughout the year. If you
would like to sign up and be placed where the need is the greatest, help us grow
is the place (spot/category) to be. |
